Unique and strange set of 1950's pinback buttons that I assume were worn during licensing or some type of North Carolina medical examiner conference. They are in a custom wood case and each button fits in its own numbered slot. The side of the columns correspond with button number. The buttons shows sign of normal wear and some aging to the paper, but all pins have backs and are in good condition. Case is made of wood and has three latches on the front edge with a leather wrapped (well worn) handle. Case measures 17" x 22" and pins have a 1.75" face
