This original press photo from 1968 was used in a year end edition. The newspaper first printed it December 1968 and it is marked in the back 'filed 1968 12/2. It was used again Sunday Nov 26 1978 and is stamped on a portion of the article that is taped to the back. The front contains the snipe (text on edge) that was the caption to go with the image. This photo is Eddie Adams' most famous photo (and one of the most famous images of the 20th Century), the Pulitzer Prize-winning shot of a street execution in Saigon, 1968 during the Vietnam War.
