This little display from 1979 depicts a vagina moulded in a dense rubber. On the top is a cover window that fits snuggly containing the vintage IUD inside. The IUD is complete with the copper coil and the two little strings for removal. This handy little demonstrator was used to show how the device works in the body to prevent pregnancy. Unfortunately due to mounting lawsuits and concerns over safety the device was discontinued in the mid 1980’s.  The object is double sided with two windows on each side both marked with the Tatum-T Trademark. The back side does not contain the IUD but you can switch it to the side of your choosing. Measures: 4.5” x 3” x 1” D
