You can’t paint a large repetitive surface without giving a nod to Andy Warhol. What does that mean? Well, to me it means simplicity and timelessness. Sometimes in the studio you play around and make something classic and silver and black have always been a favorite. This piece is made using the shiniest silver which in this case is radiator silver enamel paint. The black is a heavy industrial oil based enamel —which gives it a deep black sheen. These lips of a partially open mouth are printed until they obliterate to black. Quite beautiful in my opinion and can be hung tapestry style as shown or stretched .
