C.1928-30 Aluminum Phantom on Display Stand
C.1928-30 Aluminum Phantom on Display Stand
Quite a rare aluminum (C.1928-30) dental phantom and the only other example that I have come across known to exist . A friend of mine told me that it has ‘An ancient gaze’ and that is true, but with a mix of anxiety in the eyes. There is definitely an unsettling look to the phantom. The head is paired with a Columbia dentoform aluminum set from the 1920’s and luckily it has the same patina as the head. The teeth set has various procedures and a silver capped molar that is prominent . The head is in excellent condition and I rigged up a cross bar attachment inside to hold the teeth sets (via floating pole mount). Most likely this head was pole mounted like Columbia heads for use by the student so it is adapted to take the teeth set while on this amazing aluminum display base. Base measures: 9.75” x 9.75” with a height of 21” from base to top of head
