Vintage X-Ray Dental Phantom
Vintage X-Ray Dental Phantom
A dental training manikin that is akin to a modern mummy. The piece is modeled over a real human skull and padded with materials that allow the proper human flesh density for radiological training. Ratchet system controls the opening and closing of the mouth to various positions to practice bite x-ray positioning creating realistic results. The ratchet system shows signs of wear but you can still open and close mouth and it holds in position. This phantom is one of the earliest models I have gotten of this type and was most likely produced in the 1960’s
Piece comes in three components Human skull with ratcheting system, density foam, and rubber shroud. Piece in my opinion looks its best this way and is versatile for display and demonstration. The piece has been ‘skinned’ to reveal the skull underneath. The piece is natural bone and shows signs of rubber drips and other prep work that is done that is well hidden under the shroud.. . A unique piece of medical training equipment for research and study.
.Comes with display base and can articulate to many positions
