Very rare and highly sought after Dentiscope Surgical lamp dates from 1915. These lamps were very special and replaced the gas type lamps. These early electrified lamps have a focal lens that can be adjusted via a small knob. It opens and shuts like a camera iris to fine tune the beam. Light comes from a small bulb inside and passes through two focal lenses. Takes standard type bulbs but of the shorter type. The lamp turns on and off in the back of unit and the wiring and bracket have been adapted to the body. Comes on a custom made stand that is made out articulating dental stand from the same period—very large aluminum knobs and brass accent the light.

It is remarkable the milk glass shade has survived all of these years.

At its lowest horizontal position it measures 21” H but can adjust to many configurations
