C.1920's Medical Lamp Device
C.1920's Medical Lamp Device
This apparatus was used as a light therapy device in the 1920’s. It was rigged up to shine UV light and the small holes rotate to allow certain measured amounts of light. Recently the piece has been repurposed into a working lamp. The design is so modern that it works well as a corner lamp / accent piece. The inside of the chrome sphere can open clam shell style and can lock in different open positions. Fully closed it has two round openings and one has different hole openings one containing a green lens. The top has a socket for ambient lighting. The sphere is about 14” in diameter and comes with a period drop extension that has been added to the piece of the same type making an overall length of 58”. Comes with a lamp cord on the top that can be plugged in or hardwired if you choose.
