C.1930 Operay Multibeam Surgical Lamp

$0.00

I went to Detroit to get this Operay lamp from one of the oldest buildings in the city. This lamp had hung in the operating room and was still in use as of a few weeks ago. The surgeon replaced it with a modern light—she was explaining to me that in the early days they used a skylight to operate. This light was purchased and was hung in the building since the 1930’s so it was nice to see that it was intact. The only thing was that it had been painted over the years (about 5 times) . I stripped it down to the metal and sealed it with wax. The lamp still has the original black paint finish on the main body. In the last photos you can see the new light that is hanging in the OR room .
