Late 40's-50's 24 Arm Chandelier with Globe Detail
This striking 24 arm chandelier is just the right size for a library study or an ambient accent light. I purchased it long ago from a person that had taken it out of an old north side Chicago mansion prior to demolition. The lamp looks like it was painted a brass / gold tone years ago. I was debating whether to strip it but it has such an aged character that I decided to leave it as is. The canopy covers that contain the wiring is made of an old vintage earth globe that has been modified to fit. The brass stem and heavy brass flush mount are also untouched and have signs of old patina and paint. I was looking at this a long time and think that it looks best with this mixed aged character. It adds just the right touch of history to a polished room or adds to the character of an existing room. Quite a beautiful centerpiece to a room.
Measures approximately : 24” diameter
52” Drop from top of canopy to bottom of bulb
All wiring is original cloth wire that is in good stable condition
Lead wire to flush mount is lamp wire which is good for low wattage bulbs as shown
Feel free to pick up in the studio or if shipping the lamp may have to be sent in two boxes so some assembly and wiring will be needed .
