1960's Prosthetic Eye Sizers in Display Box
1960's Prosthetic Eye Sizers in Display Box
If you have a good eye collection of prosthetic eyes this is the next level of expanding the collection. The box contains a selection of work I acquired from an ocularist collection that I have had for some time. The set is a collection of sizers the eye patient would wear as a blank to get the eye ready for the prosthetic. The sizer blanks would be inserted in the eye opening and worn while adjustments and prep were made. The different sizers have writing that is underneath and encased in the blank. They are smooth and have a nice weight to them with a divot on the back. Some eyes are included that are in various states of production that serve as a good example of the intricate eye making process. 24 pieces in all in original prosthetic display case. Piece dates from the early 1960’s
