I acquired this original case of German made prosthetic eyes from an ocularist that also collects fine samples of historical eyes. These eyes are the work of great sculptural ability to mimic the natural look and feel of each patient needing a prosthetic eye. Each piece is hand made and worked on in layers detailing the veins and color to match the patients eye.

This particular case is from a German prosthetic maker and features an array of eyes that date from the early 1900’s through the 1950’s .

10 of these in the collection are early 1900’s glass samples and the rest are 1950’s acrylic showing the same realism and evolution of prosthesis production.
