The Impella 5.0 shown is a retired device that came from a surgeons study collection . The device is an amazing temporary catheter based heart pump that provides powerful circulatory support by pulling blood from the left ventricle and ejecting it into the aorta stabilizing the patient. This powerful tiny motor delivers up to five liters of blood flow a minute. This allows for potential recovery and or bridging to other treatments.

This device is untested , but it is unused. The pump was used for demonstration purposes to give overview of the procedure as seen with the 3D printed heart shown in the pictures (sold separately )
