This 3D printed heard cross section was made using MRI scanning from a de-identified adult patent. The MRI scan was then used to make this very realistic cross section of the patients heart. It was used as a model to show how the procedure of the Impella catheter heart pump. This piece was acquired from a surgeon and professor that used this object as a tool to show procedure and technique. A unique and rare item that was used in the planning stage of surgery.
