1940's Naval Electrostatic Demonstrator #70126
1940's Naval Electrostatic Demonstrator #70126
The Naval electrostatic kit was part of training to demonstrate the principles of electricity. This case includes various demonstration devices, glass rod, acrylic connectors, and bases. It comes in the wooden case that is cloth covered. There are signs of oxidation on the metal corners of the case. The kit also includes a Tesla coil that I have not tested—there seems to be some age-old cracks and dings to the unit and since it is rated as high voltage I figure this should be left to those that know how to set up this type of instrument. No manuals are included so please use this as a display only.
All components come apart and fit into the case for transport. Parts like the handles and bases are marked U.S Navy and when opening the bottom of the Tesla coil unit there is a schematic that is dated 10-13-48 as shown in the last photo.
