1940's Nystrom Large Aviator Metal Globe

$0.00

This large aviator globe dates from the 1940’s and has a beautiful color with a minimal look. The globe was made for plotting routes and training and is made of metal with a matte finish so you can write on chalk then erase. You recall some years ago when people were painting globes black with chalk board paint—well this was what they were trying to mimic. The metal globe is very large (65” circumference) and our dental manikin head is acting as scale (sold separately) . Piece is in very good condition with age old oxidation mostly noted on base with some small dings that you would expect over time—a little dent is in the South Pole that is not really noticeable—just letting you know this thing has had a life well lived. Measures: 25” H with a 65” circumference and approximately a 22” + diameter.
