Department of the Navy / Bureau of Ships Electronic Scanning Radar introduced in 1960’s the AN/SPS-39 a three-dimensional radar manufactured by Hughes Aircraft Company. It was used by the US Navy as a parabolic-cylinder reflector antenna after World War II, and was equipped aboard naval ships during the Cold War.

This contractor model is all metal and pivots on the walnut display base. Quite an unusual and scarcely seen contractor model. Measures: 10” H with a 4.5” x 4.5” base
