The AMA was founded in 1936 and is a community of aircraft designers and enthusiast. The group gathers yearly and has competitions on various categories. This award is from 1978—not noted who won or what category but this gives you an opportunity to claim this history (ha). I thought it was quite a curious award and have seen a few like in on the AMA Museum (from 1976) and are noted as championship trophies.

I don’t typically acquire awards, but in the past have, especially unique esoteric honors such as: a welding award, 1930’s cycling award, and now this AMA Championship award.
