This model is quite a rare sized one— mainly made for institutions like schools or government offices. Although some of the smaller sizes can be found locating a 36” globe is quite tough to find, especially this earlier 1963 model.
The globe is missing some internal instruments —the arm that controls the sun and also the horizon ring around the earth. The base is also missing but a you can see in the last photos a 12” rigid carboard base painted matte black hods it steady. This can be a project for complete restoration if one desires but the fundamentals are there and the piece looks great as-is.
Some scuffs on the outer acrylic but typical with age and not distracting from the object. The acrylic sphere is in very good condition and can come apart in two halves if disassembly is needed. Comes as shown.
