This professional grade planetarium was in a university’s department of physics and astronomy until retired for newer model / digital projector. These devices though old technology are still in use in many institutions today. Some are in collections and mostly displayed as objects—because on their own they are amazing to look at. This piece comes with many attachments and original manuals, schematics, lessons, slides, and many other things to numerous to mention. Attachments are included to make projector higher and come with the full rig that surrounds the base of the projector. The desk is a control panel that is full of electronics along the whole back panel of the desk and comes with massive chords to connect it up. This piece will need a good conditioning and rewiring on most of the unit as wires are old and was disconnected when it was de-installed. Good restoration project or looks rather good as an installation. Video below shows the planetarium with a lighting test I made. I have the original Xenon lamp but used a make shift LED for the example. Planetarium as shown is 8.5’ H. Entire unit is about 400lbs. Pick ups welcome but I can also work with you on shipping.
