Rin Tin Tin was a German Shepherd who became a famous Hollywood actor in the 1920’s. He was very successful and stared in 27 films that helped save Warner Brothers studio. His descendants in the 1950’s continued to star in the television series The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin.

This rare production mold was used to make a plush doll with a vinyl head produced by Ideal. Rubber was poured in the opening and swirled around then a semi curing rubber was pulled and painted then attached to the plush body. Comes marked in the inner collar area with Ideal info and Rin Tin Tin as shown in the last photo. Comes on display stand as shown. The head is rather large measuring : 11” from base to top of ears 5.5” diameter wide and 7.25 D on stand 14.5” H

Head is made of metal with copper plating and has nice grotesque metal formations that occur when manufacturing the metal mold. The inside is clean and crisp
