These metal molds were used to produce toys. The rubber type material was placed inside and spun and then taken out right before it hardens--it is an industrial production method that has been long used. The insides are clean and clear with sharp detail. The outer is lumpy and somewhat distorted with signs of melted material and heat markings. The warty looking metal deposits on the features make these very interesting in my opinion. I used to carry vintage molds long ago and it took this long for me to find ones that I thought were instant sculptures. This selection of toys I haven't identified yet but they are animals: camel, hippo, pig, etc. Some are dressed as doctors among other things. Sold as a set and they average around 4.5 " in height I think the smallest is 3.5" H
