Large Decollage consists of an iron oxide mica mix and gold that are hand colored and hand printed. Each print is overlaid and ripped showing each subsequent layer—the two line up to compose a single image yet lending hints of color and distress as it is spontaneously composed. I have made a few in the past and each one is unique and different from the next. The sculptural process resembles that of an old billboard with layers of torn prints that have been placed over time. Measures: 42” x 60” Acrylic on heavy weight drawing paper.
