This large Saturn Cyanotype is made using two large negatives that are hand laid and overlapped then exposed to create the image. The results are always a surprise but this one has done a nice job of weaving the Saturn rings together to make a compelling composition. It is printed on heavy weight Arches 100% cotton paper that is hand coated and dried with the cyanotype solution and once exposed with the negative to UV light the process transforms it into the deep blue you see on the paper. A very early photographic method that predates silver photography and captivates with its deep blue color. Measures 41” x 58”

The artwork is framed in a matte black wood moulding and float framed to allow the edges to be seen.
