I have seen Tyler work on this piece for most of the year in 2019. The woodcut process took many months of painstaking accurate carving to create this realistic water scene. The work is printed on Mulberry paper and has a very nice deep oil based carbon ink impression. Each sheet is hand laid on the wood block after inking and burnished until the resulting image is produced. After that the work is burnished in selective areas making no two pieces alike. Due to the delicate lines and pressure during the printing process only 20 of these pieces will ever be made. Measures: 24” x 36” and is signed in the lower margin by the artist in pencil.
