Head of an ancient statue fragment was made using a large negative film. The head was inverted to abstract the head form and bring out the texture of the stone. The contrast of the form against the background makes it pop against the whites of the paper. This piece is one of a kind and printed on arches watercolor paper using the cyanotype photographic method. The sheet is hand coated, exposed and washed and the result is this deep blue original photographic print. Measures: 22” x 24” on 140 lb weight paper.
