Large Decollage that has two silver tones —a bright silver wash base with Caligula heads in a pearlescent silver creating a very subtle effect. The hint of the skeletal leaves draw attention to the heads and create an apparition type effect. Underneath is a bright yellow and black ancient cats pattern that is selectively torn on the top layers to show the pattern below. The piece is then glued down as a single piece akin to layered lush wall paper. The work is acrylic ink on heavyweight drawing paper and measures: 42” x 56”
