The decollage comprises several sheets printed with heavy acrylic colors and aligned and layered on top of each other. The paper is then hand torn in subsequent layers revealing the colors underneath creating a composite image — and are finally glued as a single piece. The technique is something like an old billboard that has been pasted over allowng the tears to create color combinations and effects that are spontaneous and unique to each piece—no two are alike. Colors used: Yellow, Silver, Cobalt Blue, and Black. The owl sheet contains hand stenciled moons. Measures: 47” x 57”
