Torn Rose is made with three different rose images : Red, Yellow, and Blue. Each piece was painted and torn in areas to allow the image underneath to match up and glue with the top layer giving it the composite unified look. The image also has a nice abstract image to it and the drippy paint layers on each piece comes through in other layers and colors and creates a nice low relief of color and texture. A one of a kind and unique piece — this is the only piece I made like this. Comes signed in lower right in pencil.

The piece is framed in a charcoal gray deep wood frame set in 1.5” deep to frame to give it a shadow box effect.
